75-minute workshop to learn about the healing art of journaling.
Can pain be released through a pen? This workshop -- at a time when grief has touched us all -- offers ways journaling can help us process sorrow. The Psalmist shows us how anguish can be expressed and transformed through words on a page. We will reflect on the healing art of journaling amidst grief, learn strategies to get our pens moving, respond to writing prompts, and share any reflections.
This is a private Zoom workshop through Church of the Woods in Canterbury, NH, but the PowerPoint can be accessed here:
Can grief, or pain, be released through a pen? In the midst of either state, we often seek relief in professionals. But what if part of the solution is actually within us? Writing our stories is deeply cathartic—“a soul vitamin,” as Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes calls it. If you are experiencing a loss, or have a situation or story that causes suffering, discover how to release it onto paper. In this 60-minute workshop, we will learn about the healing art of journaling, discuss strategies to get your pen moving, and respond to writing prompts.
